Hows Angela?

Angela's Update:

She is doing well considering the two operations and other complications that she has faced this past month... She is taking a new immunosuppressents in hopes of keeping her out of rejection. She will continue to take the other three, but at lower doses. She has struggled with some of the side effects of the medications. She had a tough week, and was in and out of the hospital a lot. She was having a difficult time breathing, but is doing better with breathing treatments and oxygen. They seem to really help her out.

Angela's toxin levels were dangerously high, and so she gets to take a hour bath each day. She was given a medication that goes into the bath water, this helps pull the toxins out of her body. She is getting use to doing this, but has struggled. Angela has a hard time sitting still for long.

Angela has struggled with the emotional ups and downs she has faced since her transplant. She is coping very well; I do not think that I have the strength that she has. She is one of the strongest individuals that I have ever met.

Me and the Dogs!

What's Knew?

Mindalynn-

I am doing great! A bit tired, but I cannot complain. I stay pretty busy taking Angela to and from doctors appointments. I am beginning to hate hospitals as much as Angela, which I didn't think was possible. We have all managed to remain cold and flu free, which is a must in this house because of Angela's weakened immune system. I hope that we can keep this up. We are appreciative to everyone that has stayed away when they are feeling under the weather. This is critical, so thanks for all your help.

We have had so many yummy meals brought in since Angela's operation. We are so thankful for all the help from the Mt. Nebo Ward. You have all been great. Thanks for the meals, cards, visits, phone calls, and prayers.

I would also like to personally thank the Holt family! You are Super Stars in our lives. Thanks for helping out with Angela. She comes home so happy and energized. You have ALL been so good to help care for Angela when she is ill. Even little Nick helps out when Angela is having a seizure. Caring for Angela is no small task because of all her medical complications, so thanks for all you do!
